The check engine and EPC lights came on in my 2019 Jetta with ~38,800 miles, which is still under factory warranty. I was told that spark plugs are not covered under warranty, and they charged me $348 to replace them (a job that likely costs less than $150 elsewhere).

This is a common industry standard, and unfortunately, it applies to your 2019 Jetta as well. Spark plugs typically require replacement between 30,000 to 60,000 miles, and your vehicle falls within this range. The cost of genuine VW parts is typically higher than aftermarket alternatives because they come directly from the manufacturer and meet higher quality standards. We understand that this might not be what you expected, and we're sorry to hear that you feel the cost of the service was excessive. Curran VW in Stratford Ct was the absolute best! I would never have bought a VW if it was not for them. I have never drove a VW before and absolutely fell in love with the car. EVERYONE at Curran was so helpful, courteous, knowledgeable. From start to finish the process was smooth. Had such a great experience. From walking in and going over my needs to buying the car and till the very end everything was so smooth and easy. SO HAPPY!

The sales team was amazing! Darius was thorough in explaining all the new car features and in showing me all my lease options. He went above and beyond when I went to sign papers and get my new car by coming in on his day off to personally thank me for choosing Curran VW and to see if I had any additional questions. John the new car delivery specialist went over the whole car front to back, inside and out, pointing out all the new features and those that I was familiar with. At no point during the process did I feel rushed or pressured. Barbara the finance manager explained all the paperwork in detail and took her time in answering any and all my questions. Overall, the team made this process easy and effortless. The hardest decision I had to make was picking a car color!
